The terms for booking and using our services
In one sentence: book with real details, the price you are shown is the price that applies, Square holds your appointment and processes any payment, and a cancellation or a no-show may be charged a fee.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our websites, lashandbeautylounge.ca and spaliciousfunbar.ca, and our services on either one. Lash & Beauty Lounge is a beauty salon at 1451 Wheatcroft Drive, Oshawa, ON L1L 0W5, operating both websites on one Square account and one customer directory. Booking an appointment or using either site means you agree to these Terms, the same way on both. They are our own statement of how we do business. Every text message and email a client of either website receives comes from Lash & Beauty Lounge, whichever site was used to book.
Give us your real name, a phone number that works, and an email you check. A booking made with false details can be cancelled without notice. Your booking is created in Square, our booking system, and it exists here only once Square has accepted it. Square confirms it with you by text message and email, so use contact details you can actually receive at. We may decline or reschedule a booking where we need to, for example because nobody is available at that time or because the service needs a consultation first.
The booking page shows you the services you chose, how long each takes, its price, and any travel surcharge, before you confirm. Every figure there is computed on our server, never taken from anything sent by your browser. The total shown is the total that applies, and a later change to these Terms never alters it.
Your appointment is held in Square. Cancel or reschedule it from the confirmation Square sends you, or call or email the salon and we will do it for you. There is no cancel link on this website itself.
The cancellation terms that apply to your appointment are read from Square and shown to you every time you reach the confirm step. Where Square has none configured for the service you booked, our own default applies: a $50 fee for a cancellation or a no-show within 48 hours of the appointment. Where a fee applies, we will contact you to arrange payment. We may waive the fee at our discretion.
Selected services are available at your location. A travel surcharge may apply depending on the driving distance from the salon, shown to you before you confirm. To work the distance out, the address you type is sent to a mapping provider. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent. Some services are salon-only for safety or equipment reasons and are marked as such during booking. You agree to provide a safe, clean and suitable space, with reasonable access, lighting and power. We may decline to perform a service at your location if the space is not suitable, and the cancellation terms in section 3 then apply.
This site does not collect any payment details from you. Any payment for your appointment is handled by the salon directly, through Square, our payment provider. Prices are shown in the currency stated on the booking page.
Tell us about any allergy, sensitivity, skin condition, medication or medical condition relevant to your service, and answer any consultation questionnaire honestly. Certain services need a consultation or a patch test before booking and are marked accordingly. We may decline or stop a service where it would not be safe to continue. Results vary between clients, and we do not guarantee a particular outcome.
We may ask to photograph work we have performed. We photograph you only with your permission, and you can decline at the time of service or withdraw your permission afterward by contacting us, after which we will remove the images. Our Privacy Policy explains how photographs are stored and processed.
We collect your contact details, your appointment details, and what you tell us about your treatment, and we use six other organizations to run our booking system, host this site, deliver our email, check for automated attacks, and measure travel distance. Our Privacy Policy names each of them, says what reaches them, and explains how to see, correct or delete what we hold.
Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of this site, interfere with its operation, collect data from it automatically, or make bookings you do not intend to keep. We may refuse service, cancel a booking, or block access where we reasonably believe this section has been broken.
All content on this website, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to Lash & Beauty Lounge or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Lash & Beauty Lounge is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
We may amend these Terms at any time. The version and effective date shown above tell you which one you are reading. That posted version governs your use of our services, and a change never alters the price or fee already shown to you for a booking you confirmed. Every earlier version stays readable on our Document History page. Write to us and we will tell you what changed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
